Based on a novel by Joe Dunthorne - a coming-of-age story humorously narrated by 15-year-old Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts). 34-year old Ayoade (pronounced AY-oh-aw-day) dismisses the notion that his movie is a new perspective on the coming-of-age story, saying the characters in the film are interesting but the genre can’t be reinvented.
